It may be 1 and a million chance, but I sure don’t want to be it. UGH THAT MAKES ME MAD!

Most of the people in my family automatically get the flu after getting the shot…no matter how often the doctors tell us that is impossible.  We avoid them like the plague.  :(

We saw this a while ago. Brought tears.

Those health care people make me sick.

Reactions are not as rare as they would have you believe. Most reactions are just not traced to the actual vaccine. Many times the problems that come from vaccines of any kind are chronic versions of an acute disease. And while the average acute version is short, intense and most will survive, the ones who get the chronic ones will never get over it. And in most cases will never get any recompense from the vaccine manufacturers, the doctors and or any one else. Too bad, you have an illness, no way to say it came from the vaccine. The few who are actually able to prove it, still don’t get their health back even if they manage to get a payback.
Every one I know who gets a flu shot gets sick. They often say its not the flu, but they always get sick with in 14 days of the shot.
They don’t tell you that the inert ingredients in shots often are toxic chemicals and often in such quantities that they would be sued if you got that much any other way. And they inject it directly into your blood stream! And the govmt just gave complete immunity to the companies who are making the swine flu vax for any reactions or problems! Scary isn’t it??

I need to find some more information about vaccines at some point. Someone told me that aluminum gets into your blood stream through some of these shots but I haven’t seen any documented proof of this yet. Here’s a Canadian parody of flu vaccines:

As far as these companies having immunity from lawsuits, yes, it is scary. Even worse than the companies having immunity (although I do think they will do the “best” they can from their perspective) are the facts that our government is purchasing enough H1N1 vaccine to vaccinate the entire country, some states have passed legislation allowing them to require vaccination, and we have already seen the peak of this virus. In other words, the vaccine is virtually useless for us at this point (even if vaccination does work).

Another thought to consider is that the antibodies for this virus are already present in many of the people who were alive during the last outbreak. Breast-feeding their children would have passed those on, but our craze for everything store-bought has created quite a vacuum. This scenario is going to continue to play out with other viruses.

Multiply that “One in a Million” by how many shots they want you to take over the course of your lifetime. Even when it might have been “fine” in the past, people do develop allergies or build-ups. And that is just for what this woman experienced.

Good topic and entertaining parody flu video.

No “normal” parent wants a negative outcome either way with their decisions regarding their children’s health or anything else. No adult wants to be sick, or worse, disabled. What to do?

I had to make this decision over twenty years ago without the unlimited information of the internet and other like-minded folks raspberry I did have a cousin who didn’t vaccinate and a very trusted Chiropractor to lean on when I struggled with doubt. My husband was a rock when I wasn’t. Oh, and I prayed alot :D

I did have a few books that talked about vaccinations to help calm my fears. “How To Raise A Healthy Child… In Spite of Your Doctor” by Robert S. Mendelsohn, M.D. and “Encyclopedia of Natural Health and Healing for Children” by Marcea Weber. Here is a quote from the latter.

“John Gamble in Vaccination-exploring some myths, has this to say, “Most of the infectious diseases are either inhaled or swallowed through the mucous membranes of the lungs or stomach. Here the antigen meets IgA, a particular antibody which lines the membranes. This is the first line of defense. The disease then enters an incubation period of 1-2 weeks before symptoms show, when a vaccine is given, it is injected straight into the bloodstream, avoiding the antibody which lines the mucous membranes. These large amounts of viral genetic tissue and nucleic acid (produced in animal, not human*, culture) can, when thus injected, unite with the DNA of human cells. The transformed cells are then recognized by the host’s immune system as foreign…These transformed cells, containing latent viruses, may become the focus for the body’s own immune system-i.e, the body starts to attack itself…”

* I do believe that they are using “diploid human cells” (aborted fetal tissue)in some vaccines. My family doctor couldn’t deny it. http://www.rense.com/general59/vvac.htm

(continue quote)
A Child’s Immune System
According to Dr. Richard Moskowitz, “childhood diseases are decisive experiences in the physiologic maturation of the immune system which prepares the child to respond promptly and effectively to any infections he may acquire in the future. The ability to mount a vigorous, acute response to infectious organisms is a fundamental requirement of health and well-being.”

The above quotes made a lot of sense to me. They are forcing multiple chemical viruses through muscle not mucous membranes. What are the consequences?

One more thing. When my oldest was younger than a year old we went to a birthday party. I was met in the driveway by a mother whose child had a liver transplant. She asked me if my son had recently had any vaccinations. She was relieved when I told her “No”. Apparently she was to keep her child away from recently vaccinated children. Why?

One can support the immune system through good nutrition, cleanliness, sanitation, herbs/supplements, harmony, and proper rest. Third world countries can be cause for more consideration.

Read everything you can, both pro and con. Make your choices carefully and prayerfully.

How To Raise A Healthy Child… In Spite of Your Doctor has always sounded like an intriguing book. I’ll have to look these up.

Several years ago a doctor told me it was “highly unlikely” that I had an ear infection (most people do seem to grow out of them). After peeking into my ear he said “Well, I’ll be. You do have an ear infection.” Uh-huh. Why did I pay him to tell me this? He had the ability to write a prescription for antibiotics, but after that visit I started to look for natural forms. Something inside of me said that I knew more than the doctor did about what I was feeling and that it would continue to be that way for the most part. I’ve been trying to work up from that realization.

You don’t have to say that you believe they are using aborted children (“fetuses”) to make some vaccines as it is very well documented and accepted (“compared [itself to] researchers who used fetal kidney cells to develop the polio vaccine”). Rense is an interesting guy to get information from but not always the best to quote. He gets a lot of flack for his 9/11 views, and some of those are a little off (even if the official story doesn’t seem to answer every detail grin).

Having to avoid recently-vaccinated people after a liver transplant is interesting. I have a couple medical books for the earlier years and may have to see what they say about this.

For now, for myself, I’ve decided that if a vaccine is not required that I won’t be getting it. A lot of times when you go to another country the vaccines are recommended only. It gets a nice pause from people when you ask which ones are actually required.

Sorry this has taken so long. I’ve been laid up for the past couple days with some variant of the flu. Even though I haven’t read every reference to vaccinations in both of my books, since I’m feeling a little better this morning I decided to type up what sounds likely so far. These quotes are from Whaley & Wong’s Nursing Care of Infants and Children, fifth edition (1995).

There is a lot of information that I’m not going to type up. The book talks about the common “side effects” of the shots, and I remember hearing bits and pieces of this when I was immunized as a kid. They say that the more severe reactions tend to be in people who have reacted badly to shots in the past (page 556). Yeah, that is comforting. Reaction rates, according to this book (page 549), are 0 to 10.5 per million vaccinated.

OK, liver transplant. This is what I think was going on, from page 556:

Live virus vaccines are generally not administered to anyone with an altered immune system, because multiplication of the virus may be enhanced, causing a severe vaccine-induced illness. In addition, household contacts of such children should not receive OPV [oral poliovirus], because the virus multiplies in the gastrointestinal tract and excreted virus in the stool can be communicated to the immunosuppressed child. Exceptions are made when the risks of contracting the disease outweigh the risk of the immunization, as in children with HIV who should receive MMR, but not OPV.

Another contraindication to live virus vaccines (MMR) is the presence of recently acquired passive immunity through blood transfusions, immunoglobulin, or maternal antibodies. Administration of MMR should be postponed for a minimum of 3 months after passive immunization with immunoglobulins and blood transfusions (except washed red blood cells, which do not interfere with the immune response).

Blood transfusions dampen the immune system, and with the reactions that some vaccines produce coming into contact with even a crippled virus might be enough to overwhelm the child.

Also, it seems that newborns and children who are being breast-fed should not be immunized. Wow.

One final quote since this blog was about allergic reactions (from pages 557,559):

A final contraindication is a known allergic response to a previously administered vaccine or a substance in the vaccine [reference to table]. Measles, mumps, and rubella virus vaccines contain minute amounts of neomycin, and measles and mumps vaccines, which are grown on chick embryo tissue cultures, may contain substances allergenic to egg-sensitive individuals. However, only a history of anaphylactoid reaction to neomycin or to egg is considered a contraindication to their use. To identify the rare child who may not be able to receive the vaccines, a careful allergy history is taken [reference to another box]. If the child has a history of anaphylaxis, it is reported to the practitioner before administering the vaccine. Although rare, severe reactions to measles vaccine have occurred in children with egg allergy; as a precaution, such children should be skin tested for sensitivity and, if they react positively, be given incremental doses of vaccine.

In other words, even if you are allergic there is no reason for you to not to get immunized. Oh, and you’re only allowed to be allergic to two of the items in the vaccine.

Okay. I’ve never heard of Rense. Thanks for informing me about him smile I did find another website after I used his as a reference that I liked better.

I will look for the above mentioned books at various thrift stores to see if I can find them to pass along to you.

Sorry to hear that you weren’t feeling well. Hope you’re feeling better.

That’s some good info. smile Thanks!

I never thought of children who are being breast-fed…interesting.

How does one know if their child will react to a vaccine or not until its too late? (not talking about the obvious children with suppressed immune systems). This goes along with your original post about flu vaccines too. You posted about reaction rates, I wonder if that is truly accurate or if they even realize that not all reactions are obvious. Some reactions are long-term and underlying.

I like your last paragraph. lol.
